Laerdal Medical develops simulation and various medical training software. I was connected as a consultant in the analytics team, with a goal of updating their existing analytics platform. Laerdal operates in a very complex domain, and we went through multiple iterations and prototypes to understand the scope and the need of the analytics platform. As a solution for exposing a public analytics API, we settled on a GraphQL API backed by Elasticsearch.
